A pleasant shared room for two residents, with beds positioned to offer each occupant their own corner of natural light and privacy. The room opens onto a small garden-facing verandah. Housekeeping provided each morning, linens refreshed twice a week.

What families ask before deciding

Is doksuilis a medical facility?

No. doksuilis is a non-medical retirement boarding house. We provide comfortable accommodation, daily meals, companionship, and personal support for everyday living — but we do not provide nursing care, medical monitoring, or clinical services. We are suited for elderly individuals who are independent or semi-independent and looking for a warm place to live.

Can family members visit whenever they like?

Absolutely. Family visits are something we genuinely welcome rather than merely allow. Residents in the Full Residence Package also have access to a dedicated guest area within the house, so longer visits are comfortable for everyone. We simply ask that families let us know a day in advance for extended stays so we can prepare a meal for guests.

What is included in the monthly fee?

All three room options include accommodation, three freshly prepared meals per day, and regular housekeeping. The Private Northern Room adds twice-weekly laundry and access to weekly activities. The Full Residence Package includes everything above plus daily laundry, full participation in social and cultural programmes, and daily personal assistance from a staff member. Utilities are included. Personal spending — medications, outings, personal shopping — are the resident's own.

What kind of activities do residents take part in?

Our weekly programme is relaxed and never obligatory. It includes northern Thai craft afternoons, gentle garden walks through the property's seasonal blooms and fish pond, and occasional outings to the Chiang Rai flower festival grounds and local temples. Residents choose what suits them on any given day. Some prefer quiet mornings with a book on the verandah; others enjoy the company of fellow residents in the common room.

How are meals prepared and what do they include?

Meals are cooked fresh each day in the house kitchen, drawing on northern Thai flavours and, where possible, seasonal produce from the garden. We take dietary preferences and health considerations seriously. If a resident has particular needs — softer textures, lower sodium, favourite dishes from home — our kitchen staff are happy to accommodate. Meal times are social occasions and residents are never rushed.

What happens if a resident's health needs change?

We are a non-medical residence, so if a resident's needs grow to require nursing care or clinical monitoring, we would speak honestly with the family and help them find a facility better suited to those needs. We would never continue an arrangement that wasn't right for the person living with us. Our experience is that for many residents, what they need is comfort and companionship — and that is what we do well.
